Well, Christmas in July came early for me
After what felt like the longest few weeks of my life, banging on every virtual door possible and getting absolutely nowhere, I finally managed to get through to Facebook.
And guess what?
We’re back.
Every single one of our original Facebook groups has been restored and re-enabled
These aren’t just Facebook groups.
They’ve become lifelines for thousands of Irish people living in Australia.
Whether it’s finding a job, a place to live, a second-hand cot for a newborn, or even meeting the love of your life, these groups have played a huge part in the Irish community down under. Getting them back means more than I can put into words.
Here’s what’s back online:
The temporary “backup” groups will be paused for now while I figure out the best way forward — but the heart of the community is alive and well again.
