I moved to Australia in 2013 and created this blog to help Irish people living in Australia. 10 million visitors later it now has evolved into a job board, flight company and offers support with many services Irish people need when they move to Australia. Ah go on, give it a share! Go on.. go on.. go on.

There is something always endearing about watching families, friends, and loved ones reuniting for Christmas. The feeling of missing someone and then finally being with that person after a long time of separation will definitely tug at your heartstrings.

Carmel O’Connor, a native of West Limerick, travelled from Brisbane, Australia, to spend Christmas with her family for the first time in four years. Excited with Carmel’s homecoming, her family gathered as a group along with the band Draíoct at Dublin Airport and organised a homecoming surprise for the 26- year-old.

What the O’Connors didn’t realise is that Carmel also had a surprise of her own for her family.

Want to know what Carmel’s surprise is? Then watch the video below and see her family’s priceless reaction.
