Celtic Woman coming to Australia

Accompanied by a talented group of musicians and dancers, the world-class performing collective celebrates Irelands’ rich music and cultural heritage, bringing a fresh fusion to centuries of musical and cultural tradition.

Continuing its remarkable 12-year-legacy, the group’s repertoire encompasses Irish classics,
contemporary songs, classical favourites and stirring originals, celebrating Ireland’s history whilst reflecting the vibrant spirit of modern Ireland.

Susan McFadden says Celtic Woman is excited to be kicking off their Australian tour next year.

We’re really looking forward to coming back to Australia next year and kicking off our national tour. Australian audiences have always welcomed us with open arms and we can’t wait to introduce our new Celtic violinist, Tara, to the people of Australia.

Featuring many songs from their Voices of Angels album, the inspiring live concert experience features all new stage designs, stunning wardrobes, superb choreography and magnificent arrangements of timeless Irish traditional and contemporary standards in the group’s award-winning signature style.

Their angelic voices and instrumental virtuosity are accompanied by a robust ensemble that includes Irish dancers, bagpipers and a full band playing an array of traditional Celtic instruments, including bodhran, tin whistle, bouzouki and Uileann pipes.

Celtic Woman has sold more than 10 million CDs and DVDs worldwide, making it the only all-female act to achieve multi-platinum success in the classical crossover and world music genres during the past decade.

Named Billboard’s #1 World Music Artist of the Year six times, each of its 11 CDs (including Voices of Angels) has debuted at #1 on Billboard’s World Album chart.
