Epic Petition To Bring Birdseye Potato Waffles To Australia November 8, 2015

I moved to Australia in 2013 and created this blog to help Irish people living in Australia. 10 million visitors later it now has evolved into a job board, flight company and offers support with many services Irish people need when they move to Australia. Pop over to my resources page(irisharoundoz.com/resources) to find every service and product I recommend. Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you here again.

Bring Birds Eye To Australia

Irish shops are popping up all over the place and you can get pretty much any Irish food now even in local shops such as Coles or Woolworths.

But for one Irish man living in Australia, all of these pale into comparison when it comes to Birds Eye waffles.

For him, there’s only one thing that could really bring Ireland to the land Down Under and with that in mind, he’s set up a petition asking Birds Eye to bring their lovely golden waffles to the land of Oz.

Bring Birds Eye To Australia

Basically, like every other Irish person who leaves Ireland, I started to miss all the usual things such as Tayto and that,” Brian Nooney from Mullingar, Co. Westmeath explained to us.

I love my waffles, mainly because when you want something for your dinner and you’re not arsed making something, they’re there.

But you can’t get them out here. You can easily get Taytos and other Irish products in most supermarkets, but no waffles.

I did email Birds Eye and they said they had no plans to bring them to Australia, but that they would pass it on to their marketing department. And that’s as far as it went, so I decided to set up the Facebook page.

Hopefully it will make them reconsider.

If you’d like to support Brian in his mission, you can find the Facebook page here.

In the meantime someone get us some waffles were starving!
