I moved to Australia in 2013 and created this blog to help Irish people living in Australia. 10 million visitors later it now has evolved into a job board, flight company and offers support with many services Irish people need when they move to Australia. Reports revealed that about 40,000 Irish people head over to Australia every year in search of a better life.

These people include the Tierneys. Tom, the head of the family, decided to take his wife and three children to Perth in Western Australia after his construction company collapsed several years ago. While uprooting his entire family from their home country was neither an easy feat nor a simple decision to make, it definitely helped improved their current situation.

Unlike in Ireland, Tom is earning a decent amount of money without overworking himself to death. Ever since they moved to Australia, he can now take the weekends off and spend more time with his kids.

Although Julie, Tom’s wife, admitted that the first four months was hard, moving to their new home is indeed one of the best things that happened to them.

Watch the video below and discover how one Irish family started a new life in a place located on the other side of the world and how they faced the challenges that came their way.
