I moved to Australia in 2013 and created this blog to help Irish people living in Australia. 10 million visitors later it now has evolved into a job board, flight company and offers support with many services Irish people need when they move to Australia. Pop over to my resources page(irisharoundoz.com/resources) to find every service and product I recommend. Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you here again.

Volunteers raise thousands for charity by travelling as far as possible without using money!

Sounds like some serious fun! Jailbreak challenges students to get as far away as possible from their starting point in 36 hours, with no money.Ireland’s largest, most ambitious and craziest student charity event,

This year more than 80 teams from NUI GalwayUCC and Trinity College Dublin took part in the weekend-long event, but now a handful of teams are finding it difficult to get back home.

Kyryll Chulak and Salim Sebaoui, medical students from Trinity College Dublin, were the overall winners of the annual Jailbreak student charity event. They made it from Dublin to Sydney!

#Jailbreak15! Well done lads!

This year’s student-organised event has already raised €34,490 for Amnesty International and St Vincent de Paul.

One team is believed to be still stranded in Tenerife “how bad!” another in Bali in wedding dresses…

Twitter played a major role in getting the students from A – B, they are using many hashtags mainly #jailbreak14.

Sounds like a pretty good fun and i’d say the event will only get bigger each year, wish we had heard about it sooner.
