The majority of Ireland basked in summer sunshine over the weekend bringing great conditions for cutting silage.

Agri-contractors Brennans of Leighlin are making silage for the Nolans of Ballower in Co. Carlow.

The drone footage also captures the tractors bringing the silage to the silage pit with the loading shovel compacting the grass in the pit.

It’s also accompanied by probably the best song of all time about cutting silage. The classic (from 2014) ‘Hit The Diff’ by Castleblayney singer Marty Mone.

The song, which contains lines like “Sucking diesel, cutting trucking, Spreading piping double clutching”, was surely the best/only choice for the video.
